You are more than enough...

Hey all,

As a makeup artist, you can imagine that I love makeup. I love transforming people and making them feel glamorous. It is not only my job but my passion, and it is very rewarding for me when someone loves what I've created on them.

Makeup is meant to be fun, whether you use it t express yourself artistically  or if you use it to accentuate your features, but it is not meant to hide away your face. Makeup, like many other things (fashion, hair extensions, diets, teeth whitening, spanx) that we use for esthetic purposes are meant to be used by women however we see fit.

I am one of these women and I love getting glammed up and feeling like a million bucks, as the saying goes.

That being said, I know that for some these things are used to try and fit into an ideal of beauty and essentially leave behind a self deprecating woman who believes she's not good enough. It is so sad to see women who feel that they are not "pretty enough", "skinny enough", "sexy enough", "tall enough" ...  this has to stop.

We should feel empowered because of the wonderful women we are and the characteristics that make each of us unique. We as women are strong and beautiful and we should help build up self-confidence in each other.

In the video below, the intended message does just that. I wanted to share it with all of you and I hope you love this as much as I do. I came across this music video on Facebook yesterday, it is by Colbie Caillat and the song is called Try. Enjoy!

All dressed in white...

Hello Beauties!

I've been very busy the last few weeks helping prepare for my sisters upcoming wedding as well as working through a very busy wedding season. Its such a fun time and definitely keeps me on my toes!

Today I just quickly want to share my favorite 'Wedding Season Staple'! I keep this product on hand AT ALL TIMES and I trust it to keep a brides makeup intact for her very special day. I use it daily, especially when I work long hours, and I will definitely use it on my sister for her wedding day too!

The Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray is my holy grail makeup product. It keeps the make-up I've done looking like it is freshly applied and keeps it from fading for up to 16 hours!!

I think it is a necessity for any make-up artist and of course for any bride. It is definitely one of the best setting sprays that I have used and I highly recommend it.

Leave your comment below to tell me what your favorite products are, I would love to give them a try!

Also , please like my facebook page to see pictures of make-up looks I've done.

Love always,

Have you tried that crazy wrap thing?

Hey Honey Bunnies!

I've been hearing about these It Works wraps for a while now. My Instagram feed is literally chock-full of women's bare bellies showing their bloated before pictures and the svelte and slimmer "after just 45 minutes" picture. It's  definitely enticing...

And seems a little too good to be true. I mean just apply what essentially is a vitamin wrap on your skin (belly, arms, thighs, back, wherever) and wait 45 minutes to get a more tightened toned appearance? I think not. Seriously, how can this even work? It just seems like a scam.

And that is what I've been telling myself for the past couple of months. I've been fighting this internal battle, where on one hand the obsessive compulsive shopping addict in me just wants to give in and buy the damn things  (they very well may be the best things ever and completely change my life) - and the practical part of me is saying "Get a grip woman, they're wraps- not a miracle working plastic surgeon".

And that is a little insight into the dialogue I conduct in my head, but all of this is just to say that the shopping addict won. I gave in. I bought them.

I am still very skeptical but I am willing to give them a shot.

I have also convinced my mother that the wraps are practically miracle workers ( I haven't told her that I myself am doubtful) and so I can comfortably use her as my guinea pig and ease my guilt ever so slightly for giving in to all the hype.

Anyway, I just put in the order today and I can expect the It Works Wraps to come in in the next couple of weeks.

The ordering process was a bit annoying quite honestly. I bought the Ultimate Body Applicator which retails for 115$. I mean really? That's insane. It comes with only 4 wraps that you can use every 72 hours.

BUT...Here's the catch- if you sign up for the Loyal Customer Program you can buy the Ultimate Body Applicator for 59$! Which seems quite nice, but you have to agree to auto shipments, which means that every month you receive a shipment and will be billed 59$ (plus shipping and taxes). There are some other perks too, but I was disappointed at this in all honesty.

I decided to try it anyway of course, mainly because I'd love to review it for my readers, but also because it seems cool. Also my sisters wedding is in a couple of months...so if it works-even just a little bit, I'll come out #winning.

Just to be clear, I know that to be healthy you need to exercise and eat well, which I do. And I know that slowly but surely, by eating well and working out  (check out our 30 Day Squat & Crunch Challenge) I can get my body to where I want to be. But I am not opposed to trying alternative ways to give me an extra boost...

I will of course let you all know my thoughts on them once they've been tried and tested.

If any of you ladies have tried them let me know what your results have been in the comments below.

Until next time friends,

Much love,
